Section 28
From a pamphlet published by Trade Unionists Against Section 28
"I was aware of the campaign against Section 28, and I was aware of the campaign for Section 28, as well, and, and I remember watching the very famous instant where the Lesbian Avengers invaded the BBC studios in the 6 o’ clock news, and I remember watching that and um, rather energized. It was kinda, Wow! Y’know, you’ve invaded the news at six studio! Um, which was one of the, I suppose, one of the first times that really some sort of real gay activism kind of reached my, uh, got into my psyche."
